A secret gem of a wine! If you are looking for a refreshingly sweet wine to serve with dessert or be the dessert, this is it.
Delicate bright gold colour with an aromatic bouquet of apricot, floral honey, lemon drops and guava jelly. This wine has a luscious mouth-feel that is perfectly balanced between sweetness (10) and acidity. Flavours of juicy peach, melon, mango and a drizzle of honey excite the palate with orange, lime and lemon drops and yellow plum jam lingering on the finish.
Best served chilled at 8 to 10°C in small white wine glasses. Enjoy during a meal, with pâté, foie gras, Indian curry dishes and spicy Asian cuisine. It also pairs well with the cheese course which may include aged brie and camembert, 2 year old Canadian cheddar or creamy blue cheeses. For the dessert course, match this wine with delicate desserts that are less sweet than the wine. Include fruits such as peach, apricot, pear, mango and pineapple and slightly sweet cakes such as pumpkin, coffee and angle food cake. Best enjoyed now through 2015.
